The Brief was simple, "Solve my drainage problems, I can't do anything with my garden, its got a really soggy lawn, Oh and I would like to have space to entertain."
This garden was built to have a contemporary look using travertine tiles and rendering to create the finish.
His existing fence, the client hated, so rather than incur a cost in replacing this, we designed it in by planting Taxus hedging on the left hand side, adjacent to the lawn, which added foliage and a distraction to the eye with a bonus of adding privacy to the garden once matured.
The rest was hidden with timber cladding to match the pergola and deck. Box hedging was planted to soften the stepping up, furniture and pots finish the job.
